Bill mandating gov't execs to take public rides filed

A bill requiring public officials to take public rides once a month has been filed at the House of Representatives. House bill 6195 requires elected and appointed government officials to take rides on board trains, jeepneys, buses, taxis and tricycles. Abayon wants all public servants to experience the daily transport woes that commuters go through. He also says, government officials must take the economy class when they ride on airplanes. Abayon exempts from coverage government officials with high security risks like the President and the Supreme Court Chief Justice, among others.
