Tying up the courts and filling jails over small amounts of pot is unacceptable. As long as there are exceptions for connection to felony charges, it’s a good idea. Taking away law enforcement’s options is wrong. An ordinance that conflicts with state law is wrong and shouldn’t be adopted. It seems to make sense in some ways, but it could prove problematic.
