ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Tuesday paid glowing tributes to police officials who laid their lives in the line of duty. The country celebrated Youm-i-Shuhada (Martyrs Day) to commemorate the sacrifices police offered during over a decade-long war against terrorism. Bilawal said the police force has always fought valiantly against the terrorists and hardened criminals as evident from their brave resistance to the June 30 attack on Karachi Stock Exchange. He also expressed solidarity with families of martyred policemen and asked the government to make every effort for their welfare and well-being including the provision of education and health facilities to their children. Bilawal said that law enforcement agencies including the police have rendered great sacrifices for protecting lives and properties of the citizens.
