Bihar's healthcare system in a mess, but 5 govt medical staff attend on 'unwell' Lalu Yadav

Man who threw bangles at Smriti Irani during Amreli rally in Gujarat detainedFive government medical personnel attended to former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav last week at his residence when he was unwell. This even as the condition of healthcare services in Bihar continues to be nothing but appalling. Three of the five were doctors, one of them was the HoD of general medicine at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. All the five were at the beck and call of Lalu Yadav for 9 days - from May 31 to June 8. Ironically, his son Tej Pratap Yadav is Bihar's Health Minister and the state is infamous for having the worst doctor-patient ratio in the country.
