Auckland is the country's main imports port. After Northport had unloaded "in the region of 2000 containers" for Auckland, the ship would head to Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier and Tauranga. Moore said unloading the Constantinos P would take longer than at a bigger container port with gantry cranes. Northport started in the container ship business five years ago with the purchase of its first crane.
