Canterbury's top secondary school basketballers will get the opportunity to play in a curtain-raiser before the New Zealand Breakers host South East Melbourne at Horncastle Arena. The Canterbury High School All Star boys and girls' teams will play before the Breakers on December 20. The girls game will tip-off at 2.10pm followed by the boys at 3.50pm. The high school games come after a great McDonald's Thompson and Whelan Trophy season. Canterbury teams also performed well at nationals, with Cashmere High School finishing fourth in the top boys' division and Christchurch Girls' High School finishing eighth in the top girls' division.
