Fans of Big Brother Canada have a chance to experience a bit of Big Brother life, but without 108 cameras and 88 microphones capturing their every move. The show is bringing one of its “power of veto” challenges to Yonge-Dundas Square today and Thursday. Anyone who’s up for it can try “human curling,” pushing a partner on a block of ice like a curling stone. The challenge runs from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. It’s timed to Wednesday’s Season 5 debut of Big Brother Canada (Global at 9 p.m.), which will see 16 house guests competing for $100,000 and other prizes in a spaceship-themed home, styled after sci-fi pop culture references with “hibernation pod” bedrooms, an “alien mine” kitchen and a “bridge.”The cast is split between newbies and second-chancers.
