Nearly two decades ago, rap pioneer Big Boi quipped "When you come to ATL, boy, you better not hide, cause the Dungeon Family gon' ride!" Now, ahead of his hometown appearance at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, the former OutKast member is showing that his bond with his longtime musical collective is stronger than ever. In celebration of his birthday on Friday, Sir Lucious Left Foot released two new songs with members of the Dungeon Family both old and new, and both tracks show that he remains unmatched in his dexterous wordplay. The upbeat, piano-tinged "Doin' It" sees a welcome appearance by Sleepy Brown; the Dungeon Family member famously accompanied OutKast on some of their most beloved hits dating back to the late '90s, and has built an impressive discography himself since. With a title recalling Aquemini album cut "Return of the 'G,'" "Return of the Dope Boi" is a braggadocious track that could only feature recent Dungeon Family inductee Killer Mike and longtime alum Backbone.
