Biden says he's ready to meet with Trump if asked, has not yet received intel briefings • Today News Africa

U.S. President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. on Tuesday said he was ready to meet with outgoing President Donald J. Trump if asked. “Of course I would, if he asked,” Biden told reporters after he introduced his foreign policy and national security team in Wilmington, Delaware. Speaking with a pool of reporters for about 90 seconds upon leaving the Queen theater, Biden said he has not started intel briefings but would soon. The President-elect delved into foreign policy, saying he opposed a hard/guarded border between Ireland and Northern Ireland. The idea of having a border north and south once again being closed is just not right, we’ve just got to keep the border open,” Biden said.
