WASHINGTON—Joe Biden is making a series of hires to expand the team that will oversee the day-to-day operations of his presidential campaign heading into the general election. The former vice president’s campaign has brought aboard three senior aides, officials told The Wall Street Journal, to join Maju Varghese, the campaign’s chief operating officer and senior adviser. Mr. Varghese is a veteran of the Obama White House who helped lead the Biden campaign’s operations during the primary.
