Not that Biden was not going to be prosecuted for improper possession, improper disclosure, and/or mishandling of classified documents, but how abruptly damaging that non-prosecution decision would be. That Biden would never be prosecuted –probably for anything–is not surprising. But Special Counsel Robert Hur both asserted factual guilt, and then Biden’s mental incapacity as a basis for non-prosecution. It is an interesting question as to why Hur (officially) projects Biden’s incapacity back in time rather than the present. At this point Biden should be saying “prosecute me!” if he wants to be re-elected — or even stay in office through January 2025.
