LEGAZPI CITY: The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bicol has filed cases against the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) chief here and 20 others, including former government officials, in connection with the uncovered mega shabu laboratory in Catanduanes last year. The case stemmed from the discovery of the biggest shabu laboratory at the property of Balmadrid in BarangayPalta Small of Virac town on November 26, 2016. The warehouse is leased to Jason Uy, alias “Paulo Uy,” reportedly a Chinese. That’s why when he [Que] was killed, Tabor came out to expose what he knew in the mega shabu laboratory operations in Catanduanes,” Buenafe said. The operations of the mega shabu laboratory started in 2015 and the laboratory was producing at least 300 kilos per day, or equivalent to P1.5 billion (street value) at P5 million per kilo.
