Bharat Tex 2024, a worldwide textile exhibition to be hosted here from 26th-29th February, is projected to attract over 3,500 exhibitors and over 3,000 international customers. Rachna Shah, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, stated that the exhibition will bring together stakeholders from all stages of the textiles value chain, involving government and industry leaders. The major event would provide India with a rare opportunity to promote its status as an international procurement and investment destination. Shah elaborated that a “Centre of Sustainable Fashion Technology” will be formed to foster capacity building and sustainability research.
