BENGALURU: Hitachi India has announced the appointment of Bharat Kaushal as its managing director , said a company statement issued today.Kaushal will be the first Indian to spearhead Hitachi India’s operations. He succeeds Kojin Nakakita who has been elevated as chairman of Hitachi India and Hitachi Asia. The new appointment will be effective from 1st June 2017.Kaushal is currently serving as chairman in India of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). India is a strategic and emerging market for us. I look forward to taking Hitachi to new heights by contributing to improvement of customers and the society,” said Kaushal.Hitachi Group in India operates in diverse verticals including information and communication systems, industrial systems like water, oil and gas supply and management, transportation and urban development systems.
