The ongoing Doklam standoff has brought sharp focus on India and China. But, in 2014, while India's economy stood at 11 per cent of the US GDP, China was 60 per cent of the world's biggest economy. GDP GROWTH RATE AND WEALTH DISTRIBUTIONSince 2011 China is slowing down. Chinese economy grew at 7.3 per cent that year compared to India's GDP growth rate of 7.2 per cent. In 2016, China's industrial growth rate was 6 per cent, while India registered industrial growth rate of 7.4 per cent.
