Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards were not quite the spectacular triumph MTV seemed to assume it would be, what with the Video Vanguard Award going to Rihanna, Kanye West being given a solid four minutes to do with what he pleased and Beyoncé and Britney Spears scheduled to perform. Alas, it was a lukewarm evening, with an underwhelming, confused speech from a shockingly nervous Kanye and Rihanna’s questionable FOUR outings on stage. Full performance of Beyoncé tonight at the #VMAs. The women appeared in her visual album while holding photos of their sons, and walked the white carpet before the show alongside her (and daughter Blue Ivy). And for a fun bonus, here’s Chance the Rapper (in his wonderful overalls) meeting Beyoncé, which, presumably, is what happens to most people who meet Beyoncé:
