Beximco Has Made 200 MW of Solar Power EB ReportTeesta Solar Limited (a joint venture of Beximco Power Company Ltd, Bangladesh and TBEA Xinjiang Sunoasis Co Ltd, China) today signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) to develop a 200 MW (AC) Solar PV Power Plant in Sundarganj, Gaibandha. The company also signed an Implementation Agreement (IA) with Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources and Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) Limited in this regard. M Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director, TSL, Mina Masud Uzzaman, Secretary, BPDB, Sheikh Faezul Ami, joint Secretary, Development, Power Division, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Md. Nasrul Hamid, MP, State Minister for Power, Energy & Mineral Resources was present as chief guest at the signing ceremony held at Bidyut Bhaban in the capital. In line of this, BEXIMCO Group has come forward to install the largest grid-tied solar PV power plant in Bangladesh through its Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Company Teesta Solar Limited (TSL).
