The police said some personnel received a tip-off around 9.30 p.m. that betting was taking place at Krishna Park. Acting on the lead, the police raided the area and found the accused betting during the match between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant. Due to a slowdown in property business, they formed their own betting group to make easy money,” said Mr. Singh. The police have registered a case under Sections 3 and 4 of the Gambling Act, and recovered 15 mobile phones, one laptop and an LED television.
