By virtue of our online lives, we enter into relationships where we depend on and trust an organization with our personal information in some way. So what happens when an organization fails to disclose a serious problem or, even worse, tries to cover it up? In a nutshell, Yahoo had a massive data breach in August 2013 and suffered another attack in 2014. In fact, many companies that have been the victims of breaches do not actually report them, which has prompted federal legislation. But it just broke the public's trust in the most egregious way.
