Maxime Bernier, the leader of the newly formed People’s Party of Canada, met with Calgarians for the first time as a federal party leader on Friday night. Many of Bernier’s supporters at Friday’s People’s Party rally, held at the Best Western hotel on Crowchild Trail, weren’t concerned about potential ties to white supremacists or other extreme groups and individuals.
