US Ambassador Marcia Bernicat on Saturday praised Bangladesh’s contribution to United Nations peacekeeping operations. “Bangladesh Army proves its commitment by continuously contributing immense support to UN peacekeeping operations worldwide in spite of many hurdles,” Bernicat said. Bangladesh Army has established its identity throughout the world with professionalism, bravery and integrity, Bernicat added. It will provide around $5 million worth assistance from US government and a $3.6 million worth training facility including a 750-seat auditorium and additional training rooms. Shanti-Doot 4, a training programme, is scheduled to be organised in February and March next year under BIPSOT programme in association with USPACOM.
