The city continues to grow and grow… and grow. At present, Berlin has a population of 3.5 million people; by 2035, four million people will live in Berlin, according to the IW. The Berlin Senate believes the city will grow at an even faster pace, reaching the four million mark in 2025 - in less than eight years. The Berlin education senator recently told Berlin radio that the city urgently needs to build 30 new schools.
