Immediately after the fight, his corner-men called on Emmanuel Navarrette for a showdown. Wasiru Mohammed, affectionately callled Gyatabi proved too strong for the 35 year-old John Amuzu who collapsed after he went out hanging on the ropes before hitting down heavily on the canvas. An ambulance was later called and Amuzu had to make a full recovery at the hospital. After the fight, Plange thanked his trainers and managers as well as the GBA and his fans for the chance to get back to winning ways.
