A young lensman from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) bagged the first place in the special photography category of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Press Corps Sportswriting Contest at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The PBA Press Corps is the group of professional sports correspondents from various news organizations covering the PBA. Meanwhile, Gillenne Gustine Garcia, a Grade 11 student from St. Dominic College of Asia Senior High School (SDCA-SHS), won third in the writing tilt to become the only female winner in the PBA Press Corps Sportswriting Contest. Garcia, a staff member of the official SDCA-SHS publication Dominican Vanguard, received P5,000 and a certificate from Marcial and members of the PBA Press Corps. The student journalist earlier bagged fourth place in sports writing (Filipino) at the 2019 Division Schools Press Conference in Bacoor, Cavite.
