Shooting in Bengali television industry has reached a screeching halt after technicians went on a strike on Tuesday demanding pending overtime wages. The technicians have been demanding their long-pending overtime wages and those affiliated with Venkatesh Films, Surinder Films and several other production houses went on strike from Tuesday. They have been demanding that all the long-pending overtime wages be cleared. This requires us to work overtime. It’s been months that the production houses have not cleared our pending overtime wages.
