The state power utilities appointed MDOs for Borjora North, Panchwara North and Trans Damodar. Adani Group, Lanco Group and AMR Group had submitted expression of interest for Panchwara (North) along with BGR and NCC consortium. The Supreme Court had cancelled allocation of 214 coal blocks in September 2014 in a landmark judgment. The government also got overwhelming response for the auction of the coal blocks allocated to state power utilities in February last year. Emta group argued that it has been controlling those two coal blocks for many years.
