(Shutterstock)State Congress spokesperson Sanmoy Banerjee secured bail from a Purulia court on Sunday, two days after his arrest on the charge of circulating “objectionable” content on social media against the Bengal government and chief minister Mamata Banerjee. The court gave Banerjee bail on the condition that he meet the investigating officer once a week. “The judge has granted bail to Sanmoy Banerjee with condition of reporting to the investigating officer once a week. Police have also recovered three gadgets allegedly used to post objectionable content on the social media,” said Nilesh Sarkar, Banerjee’s advocate. After getting bail from Purulia court, Banerjee lambasted the Mamata Banerjee government and alleged police torture.
