Ben Mee tore into the ‘minority’ of supporters behind the White Lives Matter message (Picture: Getty)Burnley captain Ben Mee slammed supporters who organised a ‘White Lives Matter’ message to fly over the Etihad during the Clarets’ clash against Manchester City on Monday night. A plane carrying a message of ‘White Lives Matter – Burnley’ was seen above the stadium in the opening minute in the north-west and it came just moments after all 22 players took a knee on the pitch in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. Burnley were quick to condemn the message in a statement on the club’s website and promised to ban supporters that were found guilty of organising or funding the flyover. It’s not something we want to see in this game.’MORE: Andy Murray: Novak Djokovic’s Adria Tour ‘not a good look’ for tennis
