Barba was cleared of serious injury on Friday morning having being taken to hospital. Salford will undoubtedly attribute a large portion of this thumping scoreline to Barba and St Helens, but this was a frustrating evening all round for the home side. “They’re playing outstanding,” the home coach, Ian Watson, said of the Super League leaders. For Salford there was no let-up from Barba and St Helens after the interval. It was the only point of anxiety in another resounding victory for the Super League leaders.
