CEBU CITY — A multi-awarded sharp-shooting cop who was convicted of homicide six years ago and served out his prison term has been released on bail pending his plea for a case review with the Court ofAppeals and reassigned back to Cebu City. Taliño, in an interview, said he approved the request of Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak, deputy mayor for police matters, to reassign Dumpit to Cebu City. “Dati naman siya na-assign sa Cebu City. (Dumpit used to be assigned to Cebu City before he was transferred to Bohol),” he said. Dumpit, then with the CCPO, was convicted of homicide by the Regional Trial Court in Cebu City for killing a 17-year-old suspected robber in Cebu City.
