ST. LOUIS — Pittsburgh Pirates super-utilityman John Jaso usually has one chance to make an impression in a game. Josh Bell and Jaso homered as the Pittsburgh Pirates broke their Busch Stadium hex with a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Bell’s homer gave the Pirates a 1-0 lead in the top of the second. Adam Wainwright got through seven innings for the third time this season and the first time since May 27. Jose Martinez’s two-run homer, his second in three games, gave the Cardinals a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second.
