Chief Executive Carrie Lam (left), is received by the Vice Premier of the State Council Han Zheng (right), in Beijing this morning. In a meeting in Beijing today, Han told Lam that the central government firmly supports her administration's governance, especially when it is favorable for Hong Kong to be involved in the Greater Bay Area and the country’s development. Lam, meanwhile, said there are many areas where Hong Kong can integrate into the nation's development, that is why five leaders of HK’s Bureaux from different sectors came along. The meeting was also attended by the head of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, Xia Baolong, and the head of the Beijing's liaison office in Hong Kong, Luo Huining. Lam earlier said she was traveling to Beijing to hammer out policies with Chinese top officials which would be beneficial to HK’s economic recovery.
