A compensation framework was created in March this year. IDPs from Kisii were not compensated. In late 2016, the Chairman of the National Coordination Consultative Committee on IDPs, Mr Adan Wachu, said the government had completed its work on IDPs in camps and was now moving to integrated IDPs. On March 25 this year, President Kenyatta visited Kisii County and noted that IDPs from the post-election violence would be compensated in April. There are still no reports of any of the integrated IDPs in Kisii and Nyamira being compensated, even if the government appears to be working to accomplish the resettlement.
