Some online marketplaces have meetup spacesCompanies such as online marketplace OfferUp have partnered with police stations to create a safe spot to conduct transactions. As part of its effort, OfferUp provided additional training to detectives from the Dallas Police Department last year on how to detect and stop criminal activity during online transactions.
