This led to resumption of animal supply," said president of Qureshi meat traders association Managing director, Goa meat complex Dr Uday Pednekar confirmed that animals from Karnataka have started coming to the abattoir.Over the past week, meat traders were left helpless when their regular supply of beef was thwarted en route Goa. They were being stopped from transporting animals from Belgaum to Goa via the Ramnagar route by the police of that area, leading to the shortage in the state.Approximately 30 animals which have now arrived are presently at the abattoir which will be slaughtered on Tuesday.
