more-inBeedi by the Malayala Kalanilayam Samskarika Vedi, Koothuparamba, has won the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi award for best performance in the short-play competition. It won a cash award of ₹30,000 and a citation. Jino Joseph (Beedi) has won the the best director award and Rafeeq Mangalassery (Iratta Jeevithangaliloode) won the award for the best script. The awards carry a cash prize of ₹20,000 each. Vinod Naroth, who performed the role of Kammaran in Beedi, has won the best actor award.
