Big anniversaries make you feel terribly old. Can a quarter of a century ago really be as recent as 1994? I can remember MAC’s Viva Glam lipstick campaign starring RuPaul looking glorious in red, thigh-high PVC boots and matching corset as though it were yesterday. How can it be that this was 25 years ago? Then again, Forrest Gump and Definitely, Maybe were released and Nelson Mandela became president of South Africa in the same year – events that seem like ancient history now.
