Beatrice Police arrested Justin S. Crouse of Beatrice on Saturday after they said he resisted arrest after a car chase. According to the statement, the vehicle spun around to go forward and the officer pursued south on 26th. The vehicle went west on Lincoln Street, drifting into the eastbound lane and twice forcing oncoming traffic to evade. Crouse resisted until the officer said he changed his grip and managed to throw him to the ground, then place him in handcuffs. Crouse was taken to the Gage County Detention Center and booked on charges of flight to avoid arrest, resisting arrest, obstructing and willful reckless driving.
