The non-executive members of the board of the Beacon Hospital in Dublin said they will consider the findings of an independent review into how Covid-19 vaccines were given to teachers in a private school and “take any necessary actions required”. The review will be carried out by veteran legal expert Eugene McCague, a former managing partner and chairman of Arthur Cox. In a statement it said the board of Beacon Hospital “unreservedly apologises to our patients, staff and the wider community for the upset caused by the vaccination of teachers in the Beacon vaccination centre. Health Minister Stephen Donnelly announced at the weekend that he was suspending the vaccination clinic which the Beacon was running for free. A spokeswoman for the HSE said yesterday that “members of the public with an existing vaccine appointment at the Beacon Hospital this week are asked to keep this appointment.
