Baylor fraternity head charged with rape takes plea deal to avoid jail and sex offender registry

Under the prosecutors' deal the ex-Phi Delta Theta president would be sentenced to three years of deferred adjudication probation, meaning the charge would be dropped if he satisfies his probation terms. A former female Baylor student accused Anderson, now 24, of sexually assaulting her outside a Phi Delta Theta fraternity party on February 20, 2015. A friend later took her to the hospital for a sexual assault examination. The now-24-year-old reached a plea deal with prosecutors in late August, according to court records, but the terms of that deal were not made public until Monday. 'The McLennan County District Attorney's office is known throughout the state for our aggressive prosecution of sexual assault cases, to say otherwise is simply absurd,' he said.
