Chelsea have been rebuffed in their attempts to sign a sporting director, with RB Salzburg’s Christoph Freund now apparently staying put in Austria. Todd Boehly and his fellow owners haven’t waited long to find a new target however, and just hours after a Tweet from Salzburg making it clear that Freund is staying, Jacob Steinberg is reporting on the Blues’ next target. The Guardian writer claims that Tim Steidten, currently employed at Bayer Leverkusen.
