As Sunday's 59th Annual Grammy Awards presentation approaches, Michael Winger, the Executive Director of the Recording Academy's San Francisco Chapter, is rejoicing at the historic number of nominees from the Bay Area. "So many amazing nominees from so many genres...seriously all over the map and it's as diverse as the Bay Area is." On Jan. 31, the San Francisco Recording Academy chapter hosted a Nominee Celebration at The Fillmore, famous for being the epicenter venue during San Francisco Summer of Love. "And it was great to have all this support from the Bay Area community."
