Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has indicated that the African Democratic Congress is his preferred destination as he considers defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party. Speaking with journalists after a closed-door meeting, the governor attributed his planned defection to the lingering crisis within the PDP, noting that efforts at reconciliation had failed. “As of now, ADC appears to be a very welcoming and acceptable platform. The governor further revealed that a final decision on the defection would be taken soon, with a formal declaration expected by Thursday. He noted that the party’s growing momentum across states would strengthen its chances in the next general elections.
