Barrow have signed defender Angus MacDonald on a short-term contract until the end of the season. MacDonald has been without a club since leaving League One Exeter City at the end of the season. "I've known Angus for a long-time, he's a top defender and a strong leader," Barrow head coach Dino Maamria told the club's website, external. "Although he has been a free agent, he's kept himself in good shape and has trained with Exeter City, so, he's ready. Barrow slipped into League Two's relegation zone on Tuesday night following Newport County's win over Tranmere Rovers.
