Bareilly: Teenage girls set ablaze, police suspect role of stalker


Two teenage girls in Bareilly were set ablaze while they were asleep at their home early Friday morning. Two sisters aged 19 and 17 were sleeping in the verandah of their house in Deorania in Jahangir village when they were attacked. The family sleeping in the next room, alerted by their cries, tried to douse the fire the fire, but the elder sister is in critical condition. The elder sister has suffered 95 per cent burns while the younger girl suffered 60 per cent burns. The family has denied disputes with anyone, however, the younger girl has reportedly said that some boys were stalking and harassing her for months.
