Barding, losing finalists against Laiser Hill Academy during the Airtel Rising Stars championship in Kisumu, start their campaign against Charawe from Zanzibar. Other teams in the pool include Kibuli from Uganda, Makongo from Tanzania and Rwanda’s Hanika. Kenya’s defending champions Laiser Hill Academy will renew rivalry with last year’s winners Passenga in the opening game. Laiser Hill have been pooled against defending champions Masaka from Uganda in Pool B, Passenga High, Tanzania’s Alliance High and another team from South Sudan. Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim faces fellow Ugandans Masaka while Rwanda’s Remera will entertain Tanzania’s Alliance.
