Barbara Banda is the first woman to score consecutive hat-tricks in an Olympic event. Banda's historic featShe is now level with the Olympic record for most goals scored since women's football was introduced into the Olympics at the Atlanta 96'. Banda has now become the first woman in Olympic football history to score two hat-tricks in one edition of the Games. Banda's hat-trick against ChinaShuang Wang had scored a hat-trick for the Chinese as Racheal Kundananji was also on the scoresheet for Zambia in the opening 23 minutes. Banda scored a penalty to make it 3-2 three minutes before the end of the first half to keep the Zambian hopes alive.
