NAAWAN, Misamis Oriental – Police arrested on Saturday a barangay councilor, her husband, and their son for alleged drug pushing. Jaime Bastatas, team leader of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office, identified those arrested as Annie Seriño, a councilor of Barangay Linangkayan here; her husband, Zaldy, and their son, identified only as Bimbo. Bastatas said they served a search warrant against the Seriños after an agent managed to buy a sachet of crystal meth, or shabu, from the couple’s son. Seriño said she also worked as a canvasser for a construction company, where her husband was safety officer. The Seriños were detained and complaints for violation of the anti-drugs and the firearms laws were being readied against them.
