Barack Obama paid tribute to Jo Cox, the British MP killed in June, in a meeting with her husband and young children at the White House on Friday. Brendan Cox tweeted: “The kids & I met @POTUS today. Brendan Cox, a campaigner and activist determined to continue his late wife’s work, attended Obama’s summit on refugees in New York this week. — Brendan Cox (@MrBrendanCox) The kids &I met @POTUS today. Other major parties have pledged not to contest the seat out of respect for the late MP.
