Two Auckland bar managers have been suspended after separate, irresponsible acts, including serving a jug containing almost a litre of whisky and allowing an intoxicated woman to sleep in a bar. Aveneel Singh, manager of O'Ryans Irish Bar in Manurewa, was suspended for 30 days after police found patrons in various stages of intoxication, according to in a New Zealand Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority finding. Singh was duty manager on a night when O'Ryans was hosting a 21st birthday party with an open bar tab. A female who appeared to be in her teens was extremely intoxicated and vomiting on the footpath," police said in the finding.
